Privacy policy

1. Introduction

This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Wedding Table, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Italian Data Protection Law.

2. Data controller

The data controller is Made in Block S.r.l., a limited liability company incorporated in Italy, with registered office at Via Aosta 4, 20155 Milan, Italy (VAT IT12222360963). For privacy questions you can reach us at privacy@weddingtable.app.

3. What we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address, hashed password (or your Google identity if you sign in with Google).
  • Project data: the guest names, table layouts, notes, and any other planning data you create or import.
  • Payment data: payment is handled by Stripe; we receive a payment status and the last four digits of your card, never the full card number.
  • Usage data: anonymised analytics about how the Service is used (page views, device type, broad geography), via Vercel Analytics.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, timestamps, needed to deliver and secure the Service.

4. How we use your data

  • To provide the Service: authenticate you, store your projects, sync them across devices, share them with collaborators you invite
  • To process payments and issue invoices
  • To prevent fraud and abuse
  • To respond to support requests
  • To improve the Service through aggregated, non-identifying analytics
  • To send essential service emails (account, payment confirmations)

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Legal basis (Art. 6 GDPR)

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the Service you signed up for
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve features
  • Legal obligations: to keep accounting records and respond to lawful requests
  • Your consent: where you explicitly opt in (e.g. analytics cookies)

6. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service. They are bound by data processing agreements and may only act on our instructions.

  • Stripe: payment processing
  • Vercel: hosting and aggregated analytics
  • Neon: managed PostgreSQL database hosting
  • Google: only if you choose Google sign-in, for the purpose of authenticating you

We do not share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.

7. International transfers

Some of our processors may store or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards approved under GDPR.

8. Retention

  • Account data: kept while your account is active, deleted within 90 days of account closure
  • Project data: kept while the project is active, deleted within 90 days of project deletion
  • Payment records: kept for 10 years as required by Italian tax law
  • Anonymous analytics: kept indefinitely in aggregated form only

9. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct it if it is inaccurate
  • Request deletion (the "right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali)

11. Children

Wedding Table is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes

If we materially change this policy we will notify you by email or in-app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised.
